Managing Director - David Peitsch

David Pietsch hails from regional NSW and a family of earth movers and farmers. In 1985 at age 15 Dave secured an apprenticeship as a diesel mechanic with a national civil construction company and moved to Sydney to work as an apprentice mechanic. On completion of this apprenticeship, Dave was offered and accepted a position with the state Caterpillar dealer as a field service mechanic. During the almost 5 years working for the Cat dealer, Dave was involved in the supervision and maintenance of a coal mining fleet, testing and commissioning of the first test unit 793 haul truck, repairs and service of earthmoving machinery in remote areas, spent 12 months as service manager, and finally was instrumental in the setting up of serviceman and maintenance management on mine sites in regional NSW.

Leaving this position in 1994, Dave accepted a position with a mining contractor in the NT as maintenance superintendent. This position entailed the service and maintenance of a mining fleet in remote NT including, 777C trucks, first production 5130 in Australia, liebherr 984 and 984B, and Hitachi EX1100 and EX1800 excavators. Dave remained in this position for 4 years. Looking for a change of pace Dave left the mining industry and returned to NSW to join the family earthmoving business. Over a period of almost 10 years Dave took a small rural based earthmoving business to a civil construction company completing subdivisions, road construction, rail formation, bulk earthworks, building sites and quarrying. At this time the family business was sold and Dave and partner Hellen formed civil contractors.
